Valerie Tian
Biography
Valerie Tian, born on April 21, 1989, is a talented Canadian actress recognized for her compelling performances in film and television. She gained significant attention for her portrayal of Su-Chin in the critically acclaimed film *Juno*. Tian's journey in the entertainment industry began when she auditioned for Canadian director Mina Shum in the summer of 2001, landing the lead role of Mindy Ho in *Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity*. This film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2002 and later showcased at both the Sundance Film Festival and the LA Asian American Film Festival in 2003.
In 2004, she starred alongside action star Jean-Claude Van Damme in *Wake of Death* and also made a brief appearance in *The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants*. Tian further showcased her versatility with leading roles in the short film *Chika's Bird* and featured as an X kid in *X2: X-Men United*. Additionally, she portrayed an elf in Disney's *The Santa Clause 2*.
Her television career includes being a series regular on the Warner Brothers show *Black Sash* and a cameo in the ABC series *The Days*. Currently, she plays a prominent role in the CTV series *Motive*, highlighting her continued success in the industry.
