Abigail Cruttenden, born on March 23, 1968, is a talented English actress renowned for her compelling performances on screen. She gained prominence for her role as Jane in the acclaimed television series *Sharpe*, where she portrayed the wife of Sean Bean's character in several episodes. Their on-screen chemistry extended into real life when the two married in 1997 and welcomed a daughter, Evie. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2000, just three months after their daughter’s birth. Cruttenden later married Jonathan Fraser in 2003, and together they have a daughter named Merle.
Hailing from a family deeply rooted in the performing arts, Cruttenden's grandmother, Cynthia Coatts, is the founder of the Rosslyn School of Dance and Drama in London, while her mother, Julia Cruttenden, operates Greasepaint, a prestigious stage make-up school in the city.
