Biography
Barack Hussein Obama II, born on August 4, 1961, is a prominent American political figure who held the office of the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. As a member of the Democratic Party, he made history as the first African-American to occupy the presidency. Prior to his election as president, Obama represented Illinois in the U.S. Senate from 2005 until 2008. His political career began in the Illinois State Senate, where he served from 1997 to 2004.
