Martin Alan Feldman (8 July 1934 – 2 December 1982) was a distinguished British actor, comedian, and comedy writer, uniquely recognized for his strikingly prominent eyes, a result of Graves' ophthalmopathy linked to his thyroid disease. Feldman embraced his distinctive appearance, often crediting it as a contributing factor to his success in the entertainment industry.
He gained acclaim through various British television comedy shows, most notably "At Last the 1948 Show" and "Marty," the latter of which earned him two BAFTA awards. Additionally, he co-created the beloved BBC Radio series "Round the Horne," showcasing his talent for humor and wit. In 1970, he starred in "Every Home Should Have One," a film that became one of the highest-grossing comedies in Britain.
Feldman's film career reached a notable peak with his role as Igor in Mel Brooks' 1974 classic "Young Frankenstein." His performance earned him the inaugural Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor, marking a significant achievement in his career.
