John Bluthal, originally named Isaac Bluthal, was a renowned comic actor whose career spanned several decades and encompassed a diverse range of performances. Born on August 12, 1928, in Poland, he emigrated to Australia as a child with his family. In the early 1960s, seeking to advance his acting career, Bluthal relocated to the United Kingdom, where he became a familiar face in television and film.
He is perhaps best remembered for his portrayal of Frank Pickle in the beloved BBC sitcom "The Vicar of Dibley," which showcased his unique comedic talents. Additionally, he collaborated with the legendary Spike Milligan on the innovative "Q" series, which was known for its absurdist humor.
