Sharon Farrell
Biography
Sharon Farrell, born Sharon Forsmoe on December 24, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa, was a celebrated American actress and dancer who left an indelible mark on both film and television. Her artistic journey began as a ballerina with the American Ballet Theatre, which ultimately led her to New York City, where she transitioned into acting. Her film career kicked off in 1959 with her debut in *Kiss Her Goodbye*, followed by notable performances in *40 Pounds of Trouble* (1962), *A Lovely Way to Die* (1968), and the neo-noir film *Marlowe* (1969).
Farrell's television work spanned several decades, highlighted by recurring roles in popular series such as *Saints and Sinners* (1962-1963), *Dr. Kildare* (1965), and *Hawaii Five-O* (1980), where she portrayed Lori Wilson for two seasons. Her versatility also extended to the horror genre, with memorable performances in *It's Alive* (1974) and *Night of the Comet* (1984).
In addition to her acting pursuits, Farrell was a passionate dancer and choreographer, sharing her expertise as a dance instructor at UCLA and serving on the board of the American Ballet Theatre. Over her lifetime, she was married five times, including to actor Andrew Prine, and had one son, Chance Boyer. Sharon Farrell passed away on May 15, 2023, at the age of 82, and rests at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Hills, California.
