Biography

Jacqueline Susan McKenzie, born on October 24, 1967, in Sydney, Australia, is a distinguished actress recognized for her compelling performances across film, television, and theatre. She launched her cinematic career with a role in the 1987 movie Wordplay and made her stage debut in Child Dancing at the Griffin Theatre Company. McKenzie gained widespread acclaim for her powerful performance in the 1992 film Romper Stomper, solidifying her status as one of Australia's leading young talents.

Throughout the early 1990s, she garnered multiple nominations from the Australian Film Institute for her work in Stark, This Won't Hurt a Bit, The Battlers, and Traps. Her remarkable achievements culminated in 1995 when she won two prestigious awards: "Best Actress in a Television Drama" for Halifax f.p: "Lies of the Mind" and "Best Actress in a Leading Role" for Angel Baby. Following this success, she moved to the United States, where she was granted a Green Card as a "Person of Extraordinary Ability."

McKenzie’s notable film credits include Deep Blue Sea (1999) and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002). She gained further recognition as Diana Skouris in the acclaimed sci-fi series The 4400, which aired from 2004 to 2007.
