Maja Ostaszewska, born on September 3, 1972, in Kraków, Poland, is a distinguished actress celebrated for her contributions to both theater and film. The daughter of musician Jacek Ostaszewski, she began her artistic journey in her hometown before honing her craft at the PWST drama school, from which she graduated in 1996.
Ostaszewska has made a significant impact on the Polish theater scene, primarily performing at Teatr Rozmaitości in Warsaw. She has collaborated with esteemed directors like Krystian Lupa, Krzysztof Warlikowski, and Grzegorz Jarzyna, showcasing her versatility and talent on stage.
Her film career began in 1993 with a brief appearance in Steven Spielberg's critically acclaimed "Schindler's List." However, her first leading role came in 1997 with the TV movie "Przystań," which earned her the Best Actress Award at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia a year later, solidifying her status as a rising star.
