Hardie Albright
Biography
Hardie Hunter Albright, originally named Hardie Hunter Albrecht, was born on December 16, 1903, and passed away on December 7, 1975. He was an accomplished American actor who grew up in a family of traveling vaudeville entertainers, which led him to make his stage debut at the tender age of seven. Albright's journey in theater took a significant turn when he made his Broadway debut in 1926.
His talent caught the attention of a talent scout from the Fox Company while he was performing the juvenile lead in the play The Greeks. This opportunity propelled him to Hollywood, where he made his film debut in 1931 with Young Sinners. Over the years, Albright appeared in numerous films, and notably lent his voice (uncredited) to the young Bambi in Disney's beloved animated feature.
After serving in World War II, Albright stepped away from the film industry and transitioned into academia, becoming a drama instructor at UCLA. During his tenure, he authored several books focused on acting and directing, sharing his wealth of knowledge with aspiring performers. In the 1960s, he returned to the screen, making various guest appearances on television shows, showcasing his enduring passion for the craft.
