Anthony Howard Goldwyn, commonly known as Tony Goldwyn, was born on May 20, 1960. He is a multifaceted American actor, director, producer, and political advocate. Goldwyn is best recognized for his compelling performances, notably as Carl Bruner in the iconic film Ghost (1990) and as President Fitzgerald Grant III in the acclaimed ABC series Scandal (2012-2018). His role in Ghost garnered him a Saturn Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor, marking a significant turning point in his career.

Goldwyn has also made notable appearances in various films, including his portrayal of district attorney Nicholas Baxter in Law & Order, Colonel Bagley in The Last Samurai, and Neil Armstrong in the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon (1998). More recently, he appeared as Paul Cohen in King Richard (2021), earning a second Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.
