Biography
Gabriel Macht is a talented American actor known for his dynamic performances in both film and television. Born in the Bronx, New York, on January 22, 1981, to Suzanne, a museum curator, and Stephen Macht, an actor, he grew up alongside three siblings. The family relocated to California during his childhood, where Gabriel's passion for the arts blossomed early.
Macht made his acting debut at just eight years old, earning a nomination for Best Young Motion Picture Actor for his role in the 1980 film *Why Would I Lie?*. After a brief hiatus from acting, he returned to the screen as an adult, honing his craft at Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. His theatrical endeavors include performances with the Mad Dog Theater Company and notable roles in productions such as *Picasso at the Lapin Agile* and *Turnaround*.
On the big screen, Macht gained recognition in films like *Love & Other Drugs*, starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway, and in *The Spirit*, where he played the lead role against a star-studded cast. His impressive filmography also includes *The Good Shepherd*, *Middle Men*, and *A Love Song for Bobby Long*, which showcased his range as an actor.
