Biography
Charlotte de Turckheim, born Anne-Charlotte de Turckheim on April 5, 1955, in Montereau-Fault-Yonne, Seine-et-Marne, France, is a multifaceted French actress, comedian, screenwriter, and film producer. Hailing from a distinguished Protestant family in Alsace, she pursued her passion for the performing arts after completing her baccalauréat, leading her to a successful career in film and television.
Over the years, de Turckheim has graced the screen with her talent, becoming a well-known figure in French cinema. In 2007, she gained further recognition by participating in the popular show Rendez-vous en terre inconnue, where she showcased her adventurous spirit and engaging personality.
On February 25, 2014, it was announced that Charlotte would take on the role of presenter for the French adaptation of the BBC's beloved Antiques Roadshow, a testament to her versatility and charisma as a host.
In addition to her artistic endeavors, she is part of a notable family; her cousin, Émilie de Turckheim, is an accomplished writer, and she is also a descendant of Adrien de Turckheim, the founder of the renowned automobile and aircraft engine manufacturer Lorraine-Dietrich.
