Lewis Niles Black, born on August 30, 1948, is a prominent American stand-up comedian, author, actor, playwright, and social commentator. Renowned for his distinctive comedic style that often mimics an escalating mental breakdown, Black offers sharp critiques of history, politics, religion, and cultural trends through his signature rants. He gained widespread recognition as the host of the Comedy Central show "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil" and is a familiar face on "The Daily Show," where he delivers his popular “Back in Black” segments.
