Kylie Ann Minogue, born on May 28, 1968, is a celebrated Australian pop singer, songwriter, and actress. She began her career in the spotlight as a child actress on Australian television, gaining fame for her role in the soap opera Neighbours. In 1987, she transitioned into music with her debut single, "Locomotion," which dominated the Australian singles chart for seven weeks, becoming the decade's best-selling single. Her success led her to collaborate with renowned producers Stock, Aitken & Waterman. Her self-titled debut album, released in 1988, along with the hit "I Should Be So Lucky," topped the UK charts, marking the start of a prolific period where her first 13 singles reached the British top ten.

Kylie's film debut, The Delinquents (1989), was a box-office success despite mixed reviews.
