Stanley Blystone
Biography
Stanley Blystone (August 1, 1894 – July 16, 1956) was a prolific American actor whose career spanned over three decades, during which he made more than 500 film appearances from 1924 to 1956. Renowned for his versatility, Blystone gained considerable recognition for his role as Paulette Goddard's father in Charlie Chaplin's iconic film, *Modern Times*. He also made his mark in numerous short films featuring the beloved comedy trio, The Three Stooges.
Some of Blystone's standout performances include roles in films such as *Half Shot Shooters*, *False Alarms*, *Goofs and Saddles*, *Three Little Twirps*, and *Slaphappy Sleuths*. His final collaboration with The Three Stooges came in 1955 with the short film *Of Cash and Hash*. In addition to his work with the Stooges, Blystone also appeared in various films alongside the legendary comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, further solidifying his reputation as a reliable character actor in the comedy genre.
