Nobuko Miyamoto, born on March 27, 1945, is a renowned Japanese actress hailing from Otaru, Hokkaidō. Raised in the city of Nagoya, she has made a significant mark in the film industry. Miyamoto was married to the esteemed director Jūzō Itami from 1969 until his passing in 1997, often appearing in his cinematic works. Over the course of her career, she has received eight nominations for the Best Actress category at the Japanese Academy Awards. Her performance in the 1988 film A Taxing Woman earned her the prestigious award, highlighting her talent and dedication to her craft.
