Jonas Chernick
Biography
Jonas Chernick is a talented Canadian actor and screenwriter hailing from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He pursued his education at the University of Manitoba, where he majored in Film Studies and Theatre. In 2000, he took a significant step in his career by moving to Toronto, Ontario.
Chernick gained widespread recognition for co-writing, producing, and starring in the 2019 sci-fi comedy feature film *James vs. His Future Self*. The film was a standout at the Toronto After Dark Film Festival, securing four awards and earning nominations for four Canadian Screen Awards. That same year, he showcased his versatility by appearing in *The Prague Orgy*, a film adaptation of Philip Roth's novel. Additionally, he had a recurring role in the acclaimed CBC and Netflix series *Workin' Moms* and made a guest appearance in the CTV and NBC series *Transplant*.
In addition to his work in front of the camera, Jonas also co-wrote and stars in the project titled *The Burning Season*, further establishing his presence in the Canadian film and television landscape.
