Song Joong-ki (Hangul: 송중기; born September 19, 1985) is a prominent South Korean actor renowned for his versatile performances in both television and film. He first gained significant attention through the historical drama *Sungkyunkwan Scandal* in 2010 and became a household name as one of the original cast members of the popular variety show *Running Man*, which also debuted that same year. His breakthrough leading role in television came with the melodrama *The Innocent Man* in 2012, showcasing his dramatic range.

In addition to his television work, Song starred in the critically acclaimed film *A Werewolf Boy* (2012), which became a massive box office success. Following a period of mandatory military service, he returned to the screen to star in the blockbuster drama *Descendants of the Sun* in 2016.
