George Voskovec, originally named Jiří Wachsmann, was born on June 19, 1905, in Czechoslovakia and later became a prominent Czech-American actor. He is best remembered for his powerful collaborations with the renowned actor and playwright Jan Werich, with whom he formed a dynamic creative partnership in their native country.
Voskovec's journey led him to the United States, where he gained recognition for his compelling performances in film and theater.
