Biography

William Pullman, born on December 17, 1953, is a distinguished American actor renowned for his versatile performances across film, television, and theater. After earning a Master of Fine Arts in theatre, he initially shared his passion for the craft as an adjunct professor at Montana State University before fully committing to an acting career.

Pullman made his cinematic debut in the 1986 comedy *Ruthless People*, quickly gaining recognition for his role in the cult classic *Spaceballs* (1987). His impressive filmography includes noteworthy performances in acclaimed movies such as *The Accidental Tourist* and *The Serpent and the Rainbow* (both 1988), *Newsies* (1992), *Sleepless in Seattle* (1993), *Wyatt Earp* (1994), *While You Were Sleeping* (1995), and the iconic *Independence Day* (1996). He also lent his voice to Captain Joseph Korso in the animated film *Titan A.E.* (2000) and appeared in *Lost Highway* (1997) and *Lake Placid* (1999).

In addition to his film work, Pullman has made significant contributions to television, starring in series such as *Torchwood* (2011), *1600 Penn* (2012–2013), and the critically acclaimed *The Sinner* from 2017 to 2021.
