James Daniel May, born on January 16, 1963, is a prominent English television presenter, journalist, and author. He gained widespread recognition as a co-host of the popular motoring show Top Gear, alongside Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond. May has explored a diverse range of topics through various television programs, delving into science and technology, childhood toys, culinary adventures, and the challenges of masculinity in contemporary society.

In addition to his television work, May has authored several books and produced numerous DVDs that reflect his interests. He also contributes a weekly column to The Daily Telegraph, focusing on automotive topics.
