Bonnie Somerville
Biography
Bonnie Somerville grew up in Flatbush, Brooklyn, nurtured by her mother and her extensive Irish Catholic family, which includes nine siblings. From an early age, Bonnie's passion for performance blossomed; she participated in every high school production at Poly Prep Country Day School in Bay Ridge. She initially pursued a Musical Theater degree at Boston College but soon returned to New York City to pursue her dreams in acting.
While immersing herself in the vibrant NYC music scene, Bonnie showcased her vocal talent in various bands and even secured a development deal for her own music at just 17. Her journey took an unexpected turn when a modeling scout spotted her while she was working as a waitress. This led to modeling opportunities both in New York and Europe, but Bonnie's heart remained set on acting. At 22, she made the leap to Los Angeles, where she quickly formed a band and signed with an agent.
One of her first auditions was for the lead role in the CBS mini-series "Amours et rock'n' roll" (1999), where she had the chance to showcase her singing talent. Today, Bonnie continues to thrive in Los Angeles, where her multifaceted career in acting and music continues to flourish.
