Walter Brooke
Biography
Walter Brooke (October 23, 1914 – August 20, 1986) was a notable American actor renowned for his contributions to both film and television. He gained widespread recognition for his role as Mr. McGuire in the iconic film *The Graduate*, where he delivered the memorable line, "Plastics," which has since become a cultural touchstone.
In addition to his film work, Brooke was well-known for his portrayal of district attorney Frank Scanlon in the television series *The Green Hornet*, showcasing his versatility as an actor. His talents also extended to the stage; he was featured in the 1957 theatrical production of *Hide and Seek* at the Shubert Theatre in Washington, D.C., further solidifying his place in the performing arts.
Throughout his career, Brooke's performances left a lasting impact, and he is remembered for his distinctive voice and commanding presence.
