Sophia Loren, OMRI, born Sofia Villani Scicolone on September 20, 1934, is a celebrated Italian actress known for her remarkable contributions to cinema. In 1962, she made history by winning the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in "Two Women," becoming the first actress to achieve this honor for a non-English-speaking role. Over her illustrious career, Loren has garnered an impressive 50 international awards, including an Oscar, seven Golden Globe Awards, a Grammy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Laurel Award.
