Meg Tilly, originally named Margaret Elizabeth Chan, was born on February 14, 1960, and is a distinguished Canadian-American actress and author. She gained significant recognition for her powerful performance in the 1985 film "Agnes of God," a role that earned her a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Tilly further solidified her acting credentials with her portrayal in the acclaimed television series "Bomb Girls" (2012–2013), where she won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2013.

In addition to her successful acting career, Tilly has made her mark in literature, penning six novels to date. Her book "Porcupine," released in 2007, was notably a finalist for the Sheila A. Egoff Children's Literature Prize, showcasing her talent beyond the screen.
