Biography

Maxim Roy, born on March 7, 1972, in Rigaud, Quebec, is a prominent Canadian actress known for her versatility across theatre, film, and television. Currently, she is well-recognized for her role in the English adaptation of the Canadian police drama series, 19-2. Roy's career took off with her leading role in the thirteen-episode series Au nom du Pere et du Fils, which paved the way for her involvement in its sequel, Le Sorcier. She has also appeared in the film Love & Human Remains and the television movie Platinum.

In addition to her screen work, Roy has showcased her talent on stage, participating in various musicals and notable plays such as L'Affaire Tartuffe. In 1999, she starred in the Golden Reel Award-winning film Les Boys, further solidifying her status in the entertainment industry.

Roy is not only an actress but also an entrepreneur in the film industry, as she co-founded the production company Sanna Films. She wrote and directed the company’s inaugural film, Final Four, and also took on a role in another project, Lotto 6/66, which features Peter Miller and is directed by her collaborator, Dominic Laurence James. Additionally, she comes from a family of actors, being the sister of Gildor Roy, Luc Roy—who she co-starred with in Coyote—and Yvon Roy.
