Alias Smith and Jones, an American Western series broadcast on ABC from 1971 to 1973, follows the adventures of cousins Hannibal Heyes, played by Pete Duel, and Jedediah "Kid" Curry, portrayed by Ben Murphy. These two outlaws seek redemption while navigating the complexities of a conditional amnesty offered by the governor, who aims to discreetly manage their reformation for political gain. Though they strive to turn over a new leaf, the catch remains: they will continue to be pursued until the governor officially deems them reformed worthy of clemency.
