Ben Campbell, a 22-year-old gas station worker in a remote desert town, finds an unexpected opportunity when affluent lawyer Madec recruits him as a guide for a hunting expedition. However, their trip takes a deadly turn when Madec accidentally kills a prospector and, fearing for his reputation, resolves to silence Ben.
