Scott, stuck in a cycle of stagnation since his father’s tragic death in a fire, is now in his mid-20s, pursuing an elusive dream of becoming a tattoo artist. As his driven younger sister departs for college, he remains at home with his weary mother, an ER nurse. His days are spent with friends Oscar, Igor, and Richie, while secretly hooking up with childhood pal Kelsey. However, when his mother begins dating boisterous firefighter Ray, Scott is compelled to confront his unresolved grief and embark on the challenging journey of personal growth.
