Amid World War II, four British soldiers are tasked with establishing an observation post on a remote Mediterranean island. To their surprise, they encounter four German soldiers taking refuge in an old monastery. Finding themselves in a peculiar situation, both sides agree to a temporary truce, cohabiting the monastery while they await reinforcements.
