After three decades of marriage, Sandra discovers her husband’s affair with his best friend, prompting her to leave and seek solace at her childhood home with her sister, Danie. The sisters are polar opposites: Danie, a fiercely independent single woman and social justice advocate, contrasts sharply with Sandra, a former bourgeois housewife accustomed to comfort.
