In the desolate Arizona desert, Packard Walsh and his ruthless gang dominate a local town, coercing motorists into dangerous drag races to seize their cars. When Walsh brutally murders Jamie Hankins after discovering him with his girlfriend, a supernatural force brings forth Jake Kesey, a charismatic biker with an indestructible car. Jake forms a bond with Jamie's girlfriend, Keri Johnson, and mentors Jamie's younger brother, Bill. He takes on the challenge that Sheriff Loomis couldn't handle, ultimately dismantling Packard's violent crew in an intense showdown.
