Wayne Gretzky, a vampire cursed with the inability to grow his fangs, grapples with the guilt of having accidentally killed his true love, Mary Lipinsky, 300 years ago. To distract himself from his anguish, he teaches history at a college. His only hope for redemption lies in his friend, Dr. Levine, but nothing seems to work until freshman Chris Keller arrives, bearing an uncanny resemblance to Mary.
