A Union soldier named William escapes the chaos of battle and finds unexpected refuge with Kitch, a free Black man, and his allies. Kitch, determined to protect him, leads William into the depths of the woods, where he uncovers a hidden community of freed slaves operating a segment of the Underground Railroad. However, their sanctuary is soon threatened by a relentless slave catcher, who plots to dismantle the network and destroy their safe haven. As tensions rise, the stakes become increasingly perilous for all involved.
