Thirteen-year-old Kaitlyn faces an upheaval when her parents announce their impending divorce, threatening her cherished Portland home. Grappling with despair and disinterest, she finds little solace in the racing pigeons gifted by her mother’s police colleague. As her situation worsens, her best friend Adam proposes a daring scheme: steal the valuable pigeon Granger from local breeder Jaan Vari, sell it, and save her house. While their plan initially succeeds, chaos ensues, pushing Kaitlyn further into darkness.
