Jimmy Price, a once-promising doubles tennis player, finds himself at a crossroads after his partner abandons him, leaving a trail of burnt bridges in the professional circuit. Desperate to salvage his career, he turns to his estranged brother Darren, now a disillusioned substitute teacher. Reluctantly, Darren agrees to join forces, and together they enlist the help of an unconventional 11-year-old named Barry.
