Jeronimo Lim Kim, the son of Korean immigrants liberated from indentured servitude in early 20th-century Mexico, finds himself entwined in the Cuban Revolution alongside his law school peer, Fidel Castro. Rising through the ranks in Castro's government, he ultimately reconnects with his Korean heritage, dedicating his later years to exploring his Cuban-Korean identity. Following Jeronimo's passing, younger Korean Cubans begin to acknowledge his contributions. A chance trip to South Korea reignites their introspection about their complex identity, prompting them to confront the duality of their roots and the legacy Jeronimo left behind.
