Four assassins, disguised as Secret Service agents and led by Baron, invade the home of war widow Ellen, using it as a vantage point to execute their plot against the President during his visit to the town of Suddenly. Their deception nearly fools the local authorities, save for Todd, a washed-up deputy and former war hero with a troubled past. Despite his feelings for Ellen, she dismisses him. As Todd grows suspicious of Baron, he uncovers the deadly scheme and fights back, but soon finds himself captured. Together, he and Ellen must thwart the assassination before it’s too late.
