Nobuko, aspiring actress known as 'Nonko', struggled to find fame in Tokyo and faced a brief marriage that ended in divorce. Now in her mid-30s, she returns to her family’s Shinto shrine, where she assists with everyday tasks. Tensions run high with her irritable father, while her mother attempts to maintain peace. Adding to the drama, Nonko's sister, already settled with her own family, harshly declares that Nonko's chances for success are finished. Amidst familial challenges, Nonko must confront her past and contemplate her future.
