David Petersen finds himself traversing the treacherous Colorado Rockies when he intervenes to rescue a diner waitress from her abusive ex-husband. After the harrowing encounter, he resumes his journey, only to be caught in a fierce snowstorm. A single miscalculation sends his vehicle tumbling into a ravine, leaving him stranded in the heart of the blizzard.
