Biography
Esai Manuel Morales Jr. (born October 1, 1962) is a distinguished American actor known for his compelling performances across film and television. He gained recognition for his roles in notable films such as *Bad Boys* alongside Sean Penn and *La Bamba* with Lou Diamond Phillips. Morales has also made a significant mark on television with performances in the PBS drama series *American Family* (2002), the Showtime production *Resurrection Blvd.* (2000–2002), and as Lieutenant Tony Rodriguez on *NYPD Blue* from 2001 to 2003. He played Joseph Adama in the science fiction series *Caprica* from 2009 to 2010 and took on the role of Camino del Rio in the Netflix hit series *Ozark* in 2017. Additionally, he portrayed the DC Comics villain Slade Wilson, also known as Deathstroke, in the superhero series *Titans* (2019).
In 2023, Morales featured as Gabriel, the antagonist in the spy action film *Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One*, starring alongside Tom Cruise. He is set to reprise this role for *Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning*, scheduled for release in 2025. Morales’s diverse body of work showcases his versatility and enduring presence in the industry.
