Marc Anthony, born Marco Antonio Muñiz on September 16, 1968, is a multifaceted American artist known for his significant contributions as a singer, songwriter, actor, and producer. Widely recognized as the best-selling tropical salsa artist in history, he has captivated audiences with his vibrant salsa tracks and heartfelt ballads, amassing over 12 million album sales globally.
His illustrious career is marked by numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards and five Latin Grammy Awards, showcasing his influence in the music industry. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) Chair's Award in 2009, along with the distinguished CHCI Chair's Lifetime Achievement Award on his birthday that same year. By 2009, he had also made his mark on the Billboard Tropical Songs chart, sharing the record for the most number-one singles with fellow artist Víctor Manuelle.
