Julianne Moore, born Julie Anne Smith on December 3, 1960, is a distinguished American actress and children’s author renowned for her compelling portrayals of complex characters. Since the early 1990s, she has made a significant impact in both independent cinema and mainstream films. Her impressive career has earned her an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Emmy Awards.
