Tom Noonan
Biography
Tom Noonan, born on April 12, 1951, is a prominent American actor, director, and screenwriter. He is widely recognized for his performances in several notable films, including his portrayal of Francis Dolarhyde in the thriller Manhunter (1986), Frankenstein's Monster in The Monster Squad (1987), and Cain in RoboCop 2 (1990). Additionally, he played The Ripper in Last Action Hero (1993), Sammy Barnathan in Synecdoche, New York (2008), and Reverend Nathaniel in the series Hell on Wheels (2011–2014). His distinctive voice work includes voicing all characters except the two leads in Anomalisa (2015) and the role of the Pallid Man in the television series 12 Monkeys (2015–2018).
Beyond acting, Noonan is an accomplished writer and director in both film and theater. His first feature film, What Happened Was (1994), garnered significant acclaim, securing the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and the Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Throughout his career, Noonan has demonstrated versatility and depth, contributing richly to the cinematic landscape with his unique talent.
