Lon Chaney Jr. (February 10, 1906 – July 12, 1973), originally named Creighton Tull Chaney, was a distinguished American character actor renowned for his prominent roles in horror films. As the son of the legendary silent film star Lon Chaney, he carved out his own niche in the genre, most famously as Larry Talbot in Universal Pictures' iconic "The Wolf Man" series. Making his film debut as Creighton Chaney, he adopted the stage name "Lon Chaney Jr." in 1935, paying homage to his father’s legacy while establishing his own identity.
