Biography

Ricardo López-Nuño Díez, widely recognized as Ricardo Palacios, was a distinguished Spanish actor, film director, and screenwriter born in Reinosa, Cantabria. He honed his craft at the Official Film School in Madrid, where he studied both acting and directing. Palacios made his on-screen debut in 1961 with the television series *Poly*, marking the beginning of a prolific career that spanned decades and included participation in approximately 150 films and TV series. He became particularly known for his work in the Spaghetti Western genre and frequently collaborated with the notorious filmmaker Jesús Franco.

In 1987, Palacios ventured into directing with the comedy film *¡Biba la Banda!*, featuring renowned actor Alfredo Landa. His directorial prowess continued with the 1997 television series *La Banda de Pérez*, further showcasing his versatility within the industry. Despite his numerous contributions to Spanish cinema, Palacios faced health challenges later in life. After enduring a month-long hospitalization due to heart issues, he sadly passed away from heart failure on February 11, 2015. His legacy endures through his extensive body of work, which left an indelible mark on the Spanish film landscape.
