Li Kun (Chinese: 李昆), born on February 18, 1930, and passing on March 12, 2008, was a prominent Taiwanese actor renowned for his dynamic roles in the film industry. He embarked on his cinematic journey in 1957 by joining the prestigious Shaw Brothers Studio, where he quickly made a mark in Mandarin cinema.
Li Kun gained recognition for his supporting performances in iconic films alongside martial arts legend Bruce Lee, notably in "The Big Boss" and "Fist of Fury." His versatility allowed him to transition seamlessly into a successful career in television and film in Taiwan, where he continued to captivate audiences with his talent.
One of his career highlights was winning the esteemed Golden Bell Award in 2001 for Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film for his compelling portrayal in "Forbidden Love." Over the course of his career, spanning nearly five decades, Li Kun demonstrated his multifaceted skills, contributing not only as an actor in 197 films but also as an assistant director in three projects and a cinematographer in one.
