Terry Gene Bollea, born on August 11, 1953, and widely recognized as Hulk Hogan, was a prominent figure in professional wrestling and a multifaceted entertainer who left an indelible mark on the industry until his passing on July 24, 2025. Hogan rose to fame during the 1980s and 90s, captivating audiences with his patriotic persona as Hulk Hogan in WWE. His career took an intriguing turn when he adopted the persona of Hollywood Hogan, a notorious villain and leader of the New World Order in World Championship Wrestling (WCW).
A cornerstone of his legacy, Hogan was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, a testament to his influence and popularity. His tenure with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) from 2010 to 2013 saw him take on the role of on-screen General Manager, further showcasing his versatility in the wrestling world.
Throughout his illustrious career, Hogan amassed an impressive collection of accolades, including being a 12-time world champion. He held the WWE Championship six times and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship six times as well, making him the longest-reigning champion in WCW history and the second longest-reigning WWE Champion, with a remarkable 1,474-day reign in the 1980s. Additionally, Hogan made history by winning the Royal Rumble in both 1990 and 1991, becoming the first wrestler to achieve consecutive victories in this prestigious event.
