Dorothy Caroline Atkinson, born in 1966, is a talented English actress and singer renowned for her work in theatre and film. She has made significant contributions to numerous productions by acclaimed playwright Alan Ayckbourn. In the realm of cinema, Atkinson has collaborated with director Mike Leigh on various projects, including the films Topsy-Turvy, All or Nothing, and Mr. Turner. The latter of these films premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in 2014, earning Atkinson a nomination for the British Independent Film Award (BIFA) for Best Supporting Actress.
