Biography

Riteish Deshmukh is a prominent Indian actor known for his contributions to Bollywood cinema. Born into a political family, he is the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh, who served as the Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises and was also a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra. Riteish made his acting debut in 2003 with K. Vijaya Bhaskar’s film Tujhe Meri Kasam, but it was the following year that marked a turning point in his career. He gained widespread recognition for his roles in the hit comedy Masti and the critically acclaimed film Bardaasht.

Deshmukh's performance in Masti earned him several nominations, including a nod for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor, solidifying his reputation in the industry.
